A Cranberry Zinger- Simplicity 5822

May 14, 2014

Here is my silk version on Simplicity 5822 (from the 1960s).  I made it out of silk duponi with a china silk lined bodice.  I did make a cotton version first to make sure I knew how to put together with the lining since the pattern was unlined.  I added extra room to the waist only.

  1. Gorgeous! I second the kudos about the collar. If you have any sort of bust (like I do!) the well placed V neck really breaks up the real estate on your chest. The pointy collar is so great with that V!

I have been eyeballing some rich green dupioni at the fabric store for a while now. This is inspiring me to just buy it!
