Swing into Spring!

April 1, 2010

Hello all!

I just finished my first spring dress just in time for some warm Michigan weather! It isn’t from a vintage pattern, but it sure looks like it could have been. It was a pleasure to sew, and even more of one to wear! To hear more about this dress, please visit my blog 🙂

  1. Okay that is AWESOME! And thanks for being in Michigan and not posting a picture of yourself parading around in warm weather, I'm in AK and we're still in winter!
Love the dress, love the fit, love the fabric pattern and those are some darn cute shoes.

  2. All I can say is, "Wow!" Your fabric choice is right on!

Your pose in the first picture is so Marlo Thomas in "That Girl."

  3. Very nice! Your version does have a nice That Girl! quality and looks a heckuva lot spiffier than the pattern envelope. The fabric motif is wonderful!

  4. Wonderful.
I was trying to find someone in Michigan to sew a 1950's Themed wedding/Cocktail dress for me. I'm have in very small wedding on 12-31-10 and going for a 1950's cocktail party theme. If you or anyone you know could help I would be so grateful!
