McCalls 4120- Knit Dress

August 10, 2009

So here is another vintage dress I made. It is from 1974. I really like this one. It is very flattering and so comfortable to wear. I love the top and pants look from the same pattern and will have to make that up next time I use this pattern.

This is my second entry in the Pattern Stash Contest at Pattern Review. The goal is to use as many of your unused patterns that have been sitting in your stash. You have until the end of September to enter items.

Check out my blog for more info on this dress!

  1. Adorable! I have that pattern, too, and made the shorter tunic version last year. Totally comfy and easy to make!

  2. I love the way that came out AND I might have that one.It is in with a bunch of patterns that were my mother's in her 70s sewing days when I was in Kindergarten or so. Cool that they are now "in" enough to use them. Well after I have the baby and am not all tummy. I have some vintage maternity patterns for that.

Now what to do about the 80s patterns with the big arse shoulder pads..haha Er… lordy I hope that doesn't come back in any time soon….
