Vintage Vogue re(out of)print

June 4, 2009

This is the 1954 American Designer pattern.(*Vogue 2267) I’ve made the dress several times, but this is my favorite version by far. I added lining and actually made the pockets. One is on the side zipper, which was interesting.
This is another covered buttons project. Buttons aren’t my favorite thing in the first place because it can be difficult to match them to the fabric, and I don’t usually have the patience for that. Covered buttons are an easy out.

  1. That's one of my favorite patterns! You did a great job. I've never made the little bolero, but it looks so good!

  2. I have that same pattern and have been meaning to make it up, so I can't begin to express how excited I am to see pictures of a finished product. You and the dress and absolutely gorgeous, and now I'm excited to give the pattern a try.

  3. bought this pattern ages ago on a whim cause I knew it would be discontinued but never really "loved" it. So it has at unthought about at the bottom of my pattern stash for over a year – but now i see what you ahve done with it and I want one too. Thanks for reminding me of this one it looks fabulous
