70s Top – Feminine and Frilly

February 26, 2009

I’ve finally manage to sew something that I can post on Sew Retro. It is a playful top using this McCall’s 4028 pattern from the 70s.

I like that the top turned out to look contemporary, even though it is from over 30 years ago. Anyway, I do like how this top turned out, and I hope you do too!

  1. Looks lovely! You did a great job placing the pattern of the fabric to accentuate the lines of the shirt. I like the little built in belt! Well done!

  2. I had this as a dress in high school. It was prissy, floral print. Your choice of fabric is makes this look so great and so up to date. love it!
