Hello, it’s my first post here, and my first try of using vintage pattern too.. Where to start? I needed a dress for a rather formal event.. After a lot of pondering and wasting time researching on pinterest and such, I thought I rather fancied this vintage Vogue Couturier Belinda Bellville dress: The problem was [...]
Hello all! I just wanted to share my most recent creation. I wasn’t sure about posting it on here, but I had a change of heart after the positive feedback from my blog and Facebook. This honestly has to be my least favorite dress I’ve ever made. I fee like it makes me look wider [...]
October brought me to towards the purple cotton that I had in my stash, lovely against the Autumn colours of red, yellow and brown. I love Autumn, when the leaves turn and the mornings get frosty and you can smell winter is coming. I managed to make myself a dress that Prince would be quite [...]

A-line dress with raglan sleeves , based on 1967 Simplicity pattern ( n° 7219) I choose the view 2 , without welts and novelty braid trim : the fabric is textured so better for basic shape Remember the fabric found in a yard sales in Champigny Sur Marne : here
I did my red wool cape based on 1967 McCall’s pattern ( n° 9028) , view B .
I did my dress based on 1969 Simplicity pattern (n° 8591 ) . It turned into a nightmare ! The 34″ bust seemed to be a 42″ so I had to revise almost entirely the pattern . I fought the sleeves and the fabric i choose was rough even after several cleanings !
I used A vintage fabric and always the same pattern ( Burda Young 7680 ) .
