I’m back with another, vintage dress remake! I have an obsession for rick rack, and fell in love with this blue dress covered in rick rack, that was posted on the Coletterie blog. I knew that I had to make my own, and finished it just in time for my first anniversary!

I used 35 yards of rick rack to cover this simple princess seamed bodice and semi- circle skirt. I marked the pattern and then the dress, with lines 2″ apart and then sewed rick rack over the lines. I think it’s pretty close to the orignal!

I’ve made a vintage copy-cat dress. I’ve been ogling this dress on pinterest for a long time and have finally recreated my own using vintage simplicity 3338 from 1960. The striped fabric is a close match from the original from Mood. To see more come visit my blog : ErikaMadeIt

I love this kitchy vintage pattern, burda re-issue 7109. A loose fitting top with bloomers! I used a silk cotton blend with yellow flowers which is super soft, but very sheer! I underlined just the front of the top with a cotton voile. It goes perfectly with my feather slippers!
