I have made this delightful vintage pattern dress with only a modification to the skirt and belt.  I am not sure of the exact pattern date but would guess late 50s early 60s?  It doesn’t say on the pattern anywhere and I can’t find it on Wiki.

What a great and easy to use pattern and so comfortable. More pictures and details over on my blog.

I found this fabulous book online and had to have it.  It is a wonderful resource of how to make your own patterns with 1950′s detailing.  It starts with making your own blocks and then progresses to modifying them to achieve the required detailing e.g pleating, darts, sleeve and collar variations etc.  I hope you like my sharing of this wonderful book.
