You may remember my black Swiss dot peasant blouse I made a while back. In keeping with my Summer peasant blouse series, the second blouse using Butterick 9768 has been made!

This time I used a raw silk with the most adorable fruit and floral print ever!

I am thrilled with how it came out. The weight of this fabric is perfect for this pattern. It’s also such a quick project!

 How adorable is this print?

Swiss Dot Peasant Blouse

I recently made this black Swiss Dot peasant blouse from vintage pattern Butterick 9768. This is the first of many that I am planning on making this summer. The pattern is easy to whip up and looks great with a variety of outfits. I bought the pattern on Etsy and in a size 14 which is perfect for my modern size 6 or Medium.

I’m looking forward to several of these blouses in my wardrobe!

Greetings everyone,
I am excited to start contributing here! This wonderful site always inspires me to do more sewing. My name is Karen, AKA BobbinBombshell. I write the blog Bobbins And Bombshells (http://bobbinsandbombshells.blogspot.com) which is where I share my inspirations, my projects, and my love of vintage. I’ve been sewing and dressmaking for about 20 years. In the past 2-3 years, I started teaching myself how to knit and crochet. When I’m not being crafty, I can be found at the beautiful lingerie boutique I manage in Manhattan or at home laughing with my husband and kitty Coco.
Here are a few of my finished projects. I’m looking forward to sharing more!
