1930’s Inspired Summer Blouse

May 30, 2016

I was really inspired to recreate a 1930’s one piece top that I had seen in a picture….so I did! Β I made it out of some silky plaid fabric I had lying around my sewing room, and even though it proved tricky at times to hem, it is the perfect weight for the summer. 1. Hi Aimee, I love it! I went to a costume exhibition from the TV series in Australia called Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, all costumes by Marion Boyce. I adored all the blouses and shirts they displayed, and yours looks like it should be in that exhibition! just lovely. Em

  2. Hi, well now I’ve found your blog and enjoyed a nosey on there :-). This top pattern is great and could be my project for the weekend. Thank you!
