Old Hollywood Costume Aprons

January 14, 2015

I had an interesting request last month from someone who is opening up a theme party venue for kids and teens. One of the themes is Old Hollywood, and she asked if I could make 15 costume aprons for teens based on iconic dresses like Audrey Hepburn’s little black Breakfast at Tiffany’s dress, Marilyn Monroe’s white dress, etc. It was a project right up my alley! I did several based on specific dresses, and then the rest were just retro inspired fancy dresses.

There are more on my blog. 🙂

    1. I absolutely love these aprons!! How can I buy a pattern or completed apron for one of these? I entertain some of my widowed and retired lady friends every year to see the Academy Awards. It would be great to have one of these beautiful aprons to wear for that occasion. Many thanks for your reply.

  1. Great job! There are so many vintage dresses I love but I have no place to wear them if I made them up. These aprons are an excellent way to enjoy old Hollywood every day!
Can’t wait to squeeze out time to make one of my own!

  2. These are so, so clever and well-executed! And there is something truly amusing about the I Love Lucy apron that has another apron on it!
