My first Jumper ever… Made with the Burda Style Vintage issue and some cotton flanell fabric.
What do you think? Too much of a country look with the checks?
Imagine it with a black pencil skirt and heels…
More about the process you can find on my blog.

Love, love, looove the plaid! It looks great! I can see it the way you pictured it with a pencil skirt and heels and yes, that’s the right way to wear it. But the way you’re showing it in the pictures just goes to prove that some styles are timeless and paired even with the simplest pair of jeans they will still look great.
Btw., I’ve recently made a similar jumper, only shorter. Gotta photograph it and show for comparison :).
It looks great! I love the buttons up the back. I think you can dress it up or down! Great look.
It’ll look wonderful – very warm-for-winter – with a black pencil skirt and heels (not a full or flared skirt, though . . . it needs a sophisticated skirt). I like it with the jeans, too, though; “country” IS the most appropriate look for some occasions, you know!
This is lovely! Not too many checks at all. I’ve been wanting to buy this Burda magazine but haven’t so far 🙁
This pattern looks like a good one – a vintage feel but not too much.
I love it; so chic!
Excellent choice of fabric for that lovely pattern! It is so flattering and versatile.
I don’t usually comment on anything at all, but I must say, I love your shirt!! Great job, I’m so glad you shared 🙂 Also, I really like the way your hair is braided up!
Really cute!!
