in Vintage Sewing

It has taken me a while, to sew the black dress with lace details at the front and the back. I sewed sequins on the lace to make it more party-like.

I spend every free moment by the sewing machine or with my crochet needles. I love vintage, so of course, every piece I make is inspired by past times. The period from 1880 to 1940 is my favourite. When I crochet I use old patterns as a starting point, then I improvise to make my own design, for jewels such as earrings, rings, lapel flowers, necklaces. And I crochet collars in a very vintage 1880s style. I crochet only in ecological linen thread and silk thread which I have inhereted from my mother, to be aware of the environment is very important to me. I live in Solna, Sweden.

I alterned the pattern beacause I wanted the back to be like a surprise. The front is rather simple, the back is in contrast much more “interesting”.

Thank you so much! I can’t wait to start sewing again, but I lack time.
