Modern/vintage glam for the office

I love the look of circle skirts with big poofy petticoats…but that’s not really practical for the office (I really wish it was)!! So I decided to create a modern-vintage skirt, adding lace to the bottom edge to fake the peekaboo glam of a petticoat.

This circle skirt took just one evening to put together!

I didn’t have an invisible zip so I decided to create a satin ribbon pull to make it a bit more cute.

So there it is, a bit of modern vintage glam for the office.
For more details on the construction and what tutorials I used, check out my blog post.

Love, Eliza Brown x

Hello! I love sharing my passion for dressmaking, crafting and all things vintage. I'm by no means a professional dressmaker so I'm eager to learn from you all. I live in a small town on the North East coast of England where the pies are warm and beer is cold!

At first glance, this is a really simple design, but then you look closer and see the fine details. Lovely!
