Another Megan Draper inspired dress

Last year I made a dress inspired by Megan Draper from Mad Men and this year I did the same. What can I say, I think she’s awesome! :)

I used fabric from Mood and the Colette Patterns Laurel dress pattern with the bell sleeves. The construction for Laurel is so straightforward and great for those days when you want a dress by the end of the day. It’s my third version and has become a TNT pattern in my sewing life. It’s also cool because it’s a good base for making adjustments or additions to end up with a different look. I chose to do a simpler version because my fabric choice is so wild! For more photos please check out my newly revamped blog.

Happy Monday! xo

In my past life I was a flapper. Today, I am not as exciting. I just like to read, sew, cook, obsess over Old Hollywood stars, and design things on the computer.

That’s super cute and perfect for doing “The Pony” (which is a dance from the 60s, so I’m completely dating myself). You’ll just have to google it!
