Blue and Green

in 1940s,Skirts

I’ve been sewing and knitting again and have added two new basics to my wardrobe.

The skirt is made from green twill and McCall’s 7032.

The sweater vest is a sports vest made from a 40s pattern in A Stitch in Time Vol. 2. It was quite fun to knit up.

I also opted to wear a new vintage hat with this outfit! I just adore hats even if I’m not much into millinery.

Who else here enjoys vintage knitting along with vintage sewing?

I give you a lot of credit for tackling knitting and sewing. I don’t really know how to knit too well. Very lovely outfit and love the details on the hat. I actually really like your blouse a lot too!

Love those pops of color set off by your red lipstick. Lovely job!

I love your outfit.
I adore hats but I never really seem to get the hang of wearing them in real life. I should take inspiration from you!

And I like to combine vintage sewing and knitting although I have to admit my knitting never really got started until I figured out how to work with my (vintage) knitting machine.
