Hi all!

I just wanted to share a dress that I made over a year ago! I’ve been wearing it a lot lately since I have to wear all black to work. My only regret is not making the matching bolero and cummerbund. One day!

I used Simplicity 2955 from 1955 and used a linen mix for the fabric. I love the feel of the fabric, but it does wrinkle a lot!

Here’s the dress!

Until next time!

Your dress is lovely! That bolero is weirding me out, though. How exactly does it stay on? Is it buttoned in the back?

I love this dress! It is so cute and classy. I’m curious about the bolero, too. Does it just slip over the head, or does it button in the back?

You look absolutely brilliant – good on you! It obviously is a vintage style dress, but somehow you manage to look both timeless and current!

This dress is the most perfect dress I have ever seen. You look amazing! It’s so classy, clean and simple–but certainly ANYTHING but boring! Every woman should own this dress!
