Vintage skiing inspiration

The first snow fell today, where I live!

I love snow and skiing, and this inspired me to go look up some vintage skiing images from the 30s, 40s and 50s. With the colder months ahead I am seriously considering sewing up a woolen skiing ensemble.

You know, they are just as chic without the skis ;)

I am a Norwegian gal, born in 1976. I discovered sewing in spring 2013, so I am kind of a newb :) I have always loved everything vintage, and was thrilled to find I could actually make my own vintage inspired clothing using old patterns! I love many different eras, but the 1940s hold a special place in my heart :) I am so glad to have found the online sewing community, so many talented people. Very inspiring :)

I love the one on the right with the belted double breasted jacket. So much better than the neon hideousness that is fashionable now!
