Vintage McCall’s 2282~A Timeless Classic

To recreate a shirt dress I’ve oogled on Pinterest I used McCall’s 2282 printed in 1970.  I used a Donna Karan cotton from Mood that is super soft and comfortable to wear.   This dress is perfect for the changing temps.  In the Fall I can wear it with a chunky scarf and boots and in the Spring a statement necklace and flats.  See how I modified the pattern and check out more pics on my blog.

I've been sewing a little over a year now. I just started making my own clothes and I can't get enough. Love vintage style. I'm always looking for inspiration. I love changing.

I love it, it’s super cute! I have been debating trying a button up dress but worried I’ll look like a waitress instead of just like someone wearing a cute dress. But this one doesn’t look waitressy at all! :D

So happy to see renewed interest in the ’60s and ’70s fashions! The creative ways you’ve personalized this dress and updated the look with accessories really pulls it off!
