Separates for Fall

My goal of sewing more separates this year is going well. And I’ve finished up my first fall separate! It’s a 1950s blouse made from white rayon.

The pattern I used is Advance 5900. I wasn’t quite sure about the high neckline but I think as long as I don’t wear it with pants, I won’t look too covered up.

It’s really great for layering. I especially like the look of the cuffs popping out the ends of the sweater sleeves.

To finish off the look, I wore a me-made circle skirt, What Katie Did seamed stockings and American Duchess 23skidoo shoes. The best thing about this look is that all of the pieces can easily mix and match into other outfits!

More photos and construction details over on my blog.
