My first dress for this Autmn. Made using a vintage pattern bought at a local vintage market, and with vintage cotton fabric bought in a charity shop. I even used a vintage zip, also bought from a charity shop some years ago. The only new bits on this dress is the thread and the green ribbon trim.
This is one of those dresses that looks like nothing on a hanger, but once on, fits over my curves pretty well and feels just right.
A very practical day dress, perhaps a little shorter than it might have been intended to be, I think the pattern is early 1960’s? The three quarter length sleeves remind me of my Grandma Dorothy, she always made her dresses with three quarter length sleeves as she felt they were most practical for house work…no soggy cuffs in the washing up bowl!

Looks great on you
This is lovely, and a perfect autumn hue!
I also love three quarter sleeves now, just far more practical. AND they show off your gloves much better on those cooler evenings.
What a lovely dress!
I am in love with the shoes! Green is my favorite color… The dress is wonderful!!!
This is so cute and pretty! It does look like it fits you just right! And I totally agree about the 3/4 length sleeves, they’re my favourite. And I have a Grandma Dorothy too! Though she’s a knitter rather than a sewer, lol.
Very flattering dress on you – good fit and color choices!
