How I used my border print

I just couldn’t let this fantastic aqua, floral border print go the way of most border prints (the ever-popular gathered skirt), so I opted for capris and a tie-front top.   Wore it to a fabulous car show downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin, at the historic Pabst Brewing grounds.  More details on the outfit on my blog.

Shepherdess, retro-housewife, mother, seamstress... but labels can be deceiving. I also play the sax, butcher chickens and sing in the church choir. I raise sheep and bale hay. I sew from Grandma's patterns and drive a 1950 Ford Shoebox. Life at the Willow Homestead is retro right down to the 1947 Frigidaire!

  • Lovely! I’m terribly jealous of your border print fabric, I’ve been looking for some for quite a while now.

  • This is so summery! I could see it with ankle strap espadrille shoes.
