I finally finished sewing my first ever dress and I am more than happy that it is a sailor dress – I love it so much. I used a silver-blue patterned fabric for the skirt and collar, a white dupioni silk for the bodice and white soutache ribbon for the collar and the sleeves. The instructions were quite clear and it was easy to sew except for the sleeves and the neckerchief but that was probably my fault (these two minor details took me ages… (-:

This is a really great dress without coming off as too “cutesy”. Excellent job and it looks fantastic on you.
