Shelf bust dress – by Sarah Belinda

Hello :)

This is my first post on We Sew Retro.

I’ve just seen the new Gertie shelf bust dress pattern and I’m sure you’re very excited about this so I thought you would like to see my version that I made a while back.

My influence was a dress worn by Elizabeth Taylor and a 1960s chiffon scarf which I pleated for for the shelf. The main dress is silk dupion.

If you would like to see more pictures and a few other Vintage inspired things that I’ve made – visit my guest post on LucyLovesYa my favourite blog!

Hope you’re all going to post your Gertie’s dress on We Sew Retro. I look forward to it.

Keep Sewing…

Sarah Belinda.
