Hello vintage lovers! I’ve gone all out Joan for the Mad Men Challenge. My Aunt is a hairdresser and I had her do my hair in the signature Joan updo. The dress is the wiggle dress from Gertie’s Book for better sewing, another excellent pattern from Gertie’s book. This is my third so far! I used the size ten and the only alterations it needed was more wiggle in the hips! The fabric is a gorgeous purple wool crepe that was a dream to work with. Fantastic dress! If you don’t mind me asking, did you need to do a full bust adjustment? I ask as it appears we have very similar shapes – and I want to whip up this dress in just two evenings … My ‘full of hip’ adjustments I can do by eye but fba’s take me a lot longer to do.
Thanks in advance
Caz

The quality of the wool really shines and you’ve handled it beautifully. I love your accessorizing and the hair is fantastic. Brava!
