Hello! My first make of the year is a shift dress from the new Burdastyle book, Sewing Vintage Modern. It was a quick dress to make as there are only four pattern pieces and the directions are very straight forward. I simplified the pattern even more by omitting the zipper which saved time. The fabric is a mystery fabric (aka I don’t know what it is) that has some stretch to it, which is probably why the dress can fit over my huge head

I’m not so sure about the Burda book. Some of the looks are cute, but I would have to really like a pattern to want to trace and add seam allowances. I’m lazy!
