My husband and I spend New Years Eve 2012 at a casino themed charity event. I decided to make Simplicity 1777 for that occasion. I had it in my sewing pattern pile for a while but was waiting for an occasion to make it. This was it.

I have looked at this pattern many times and was always uncertain as to whether or not I should make it – I know the answer now! This is truly beautiful and you look stunning in it – I shall now order it – thanks for sharing. x
I don’t think you’ll regret it. It looks good either casual or festive and it’s a breeze to sew. The gathering is the only slightly tricky bit.
