Hey y’all

I’ve been a long time reader and equally long time thinker of posting but not getting round to it :)  Anywho I’ve sewed several vintage garments since I started sewing at the beginning of 2011 but the latest one I definitely think is a worthy of post on the site.

A few weeks ago one of my very dear friends got married and I was one of her bridesmaid and made her bridesmaid dresses .  We’d always wanted to go for a vintage look and I applaud her for trusting me and despite some hairy moments it all came off fabulously as you can see below.  I used Simplicity 3592 as a jumping off point.  You can read more details of the wedding and in fact the wedding the week before that also involved vintage sewing and cake at my blog phew!  Ooh there’s a giveaway going on too if you get in quick.

Best wishes,

Miss D

Great Job! I just finished making five bridesmaids dresses for my best friend’s wedding in October where I was the maid of honor, so I can relate to the “hairy moments” you probably came across. We’re still waiting for the pics to come in right now. The color is beautiful, and they all look great. It’s a daunting task that you pulled off well. :)

NB I think you meant http://missdemeanourisonthemake.blogspot.co.uk/ as the link given doesn’t work for me (typo alert!)
