Hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday. Just popping by to show you a present I sewed for my Mom. Butterick 9214, from 1959. I really enjoyed making this pattern, I love the elegance of it. I used a heavy velour fabric which has a great drape and is cozy for a robe. My mom loves it and feels very glam in it. Read more about on my blog: ErikaMadeIt

Have a happy and healthy 2013!

The way the ties are designed add a really nice look to the robe. Great work. What a lucky mom you have!

Thank you, I think you could easily adapt a regular robe to look like this by making side ties.

So true, but that would require thinking! Maybe after I finish up the last of the Christmas gifts …

Sassy lady! Love your mum’s fluffy slippers pose on your blog :)

I’m kinda amazed how a simple change in the shape of the ties takes the humble bathrobe to glamtown. Will definitely keep my eye out for this pattern.

Wow, I love this, it kind of reminds me of Marilyn Monroe’s robe in How to Marry a Millionare, I so want to make one now too!
