Aesthetically speaking this is one of my favorite sewing machines. I just adore the green color, and the body shape, which is oh so Mid Century. I found it last week while browsing Craigslist.

Singer 15-125

The machine is basically a 15-91 with a makeover. It was only made for a short period of time before Singer started pushing it’s 400, 500 and 600 series machines, and stopped production of the majority of it’s early straight stitch models.

I started sewing in 2005 when my husband borrowed his mother's sewing machine for me and told me that I could make corsets for myself (instead of paying $500 a pop for them.) It was the first thing I ever made. and the first thing I ever sold! The rest is history I'm a Fashion Designer/Antique Dealer just south of Atlanta!

I remember those foot pedals!
Thanks for the memories of machines that weren’t “old” when I used them!
