McCall’s 2922

in 1970s

Recently I decided to make something a little more modern than what I usually make. I made McCall’s 2922 from 1971.

I used a feather printed stretch knit that I found at my local thrift store; and that’s where I made the first mistake. It was a nightmare trying to sew the elastic on the waist and sleeves, so I ended up just giving up and hemming it. Other than that, the pattern was fairly simple to make. It’s something I would make again, but with a different fabric.

I think it’s cute! Great job working through your difficulties.

I am looking for this pattern! I want to make a cotton nightgown like this… any chance you know where I might get the pattern?? I am a beginner and it seemed a little easier than other patterns I have seen…. Thanks! Lee Ann
