I recently sewed up Simplicity 2509, a vintage pattern from 1948.
I used a great 50s looking print that I found in the LA Garment district.
I plan on making a sash like in view 2 but I didn’t get it done in time to wear it out. More pictures and construction details are available on my blog if you’d like to pop over.

I actually think this dress has a bit of a 30s look on you when made up (though the pattern envelope is very 40s) – maybe it’s the little frilly sleeve caps?
