Here it is! My first contribution to WeSewRetro! I made this little shirt for my niece and I also entered it in our county fair. I found the pattern at a church sale for a dime and I got the cute zebra fabric at an estate sale. The machine embroidery patterns I got free on-line. I had a lot of fun puttting it all together.

Cute. I’ve been eyeing up western shirt patterns for my little one lately – definitely on the to-sew list
Thank you. I hadn’t made a western shirt for years, I used to make my own back in the “urban cowboy” days when I was a teen!
Wow thats awesome. I love the colours and the embroidery looks amazing. I’ve been looking into the possibilities of buying an embroidery machine for a while (there are so many choices) but seeing how lovely it finishes off your shirt I think I must have one!
Thanks. I love my embroidery machine. It’s an old one (10-12 years) but my mother-in-law gave it to me last year because she never used it. It is a lot of fun to add embroidery to clothes and linens. There are used ones out there and Brother sells a decent one for under $400. I highly recommend an embroidery machine!
