1940′s Reprint Blouse

I’m sure that many of you vintage sewers are familiar with this reprint pattern from Simplicity. I’ve seen many amazing pairs of trousers made with this pattern, which I can’t wait to try myself, but I decided to have a go at the blouse pictured alongside it.This was an easy and quick pattern and I love the shape of it.It features 4 small front pleats and has a button closure at the back, I also decided to shorten the sleeves. For my version I’ve used some polyester that has been sitting patiently in my stash for a year or so. I thought the print would be perfectly matched to a 1940′s pattern, and I love how it’s turned out. Has anyone else sewn up this top? I would definitely recomend it.
