Finished Project: Butterick 612

Hi Everyone!

This week in conjunction with the Sew Weekly theme of ‘red’ I’ve taken inspiration from the cover of one of my patterns, Butterick 612.

This pattern (i’m guessing?) is from the late 50’s/early 60’s judging by the hair, and was very simple to sew up.

This fabric has been sitting in my stash for at least 18 months now just waiting for me to find an appropriate use for it. However by a cruel twist of fate everytime I went to use it I got flashbacks of Junior School (girls in the summer were encouraged to wear the uniform of a gingham dress in red/green/blue) and I would quickly hide it back in the pile.

Fastforward quite a few months and an inspirational pattern cover, this is what you get…
