Hi all! Just wondering if anyone has made up the new Butterick 5716 swing coat yet. I checked Pattern Review but without any luck. I have a feeling it’s going to be pretty roomy but those awful Butterick stock photos never really show you how it’s going to look. I was thinking of doing it in a wool plaid but an nervous it will look really PLAID, ya know, because there will be so much fabric. I dunno, maybe a cozy fleece?

I'm a self taught seamstress with only a couple of years under my belt. I love to sew from 1940s and 1950s patterns and try to work a little vintage into my modern life. Each garment helps me get closer to creating and designing well constructed and original garments.
