From undies to mop caps, aren’t we a great diverse group of sewers?!  If you’re not too sleepy, stop over at the Willow Homestead for a DIY look at a perfectly flouncy, ridiculously moppy cap to wear over your pins and rollers while you snooze.   And if you’re not sleepy now, this tutorial may just do the trick!

Shepherdess, retro-housewife, mother, seamstress... but labels can be deceiving. I also play the sax, butcher chickens and sing in the church choir. I raise sheep and bale hay. I sew from Grandma's patterns and drive a 1950 Ford Shoebox. Life at the Willow Homestead is retro right down to the 1947 Frigidaire!

Awesome! I was just thinking about making one of these!

I have long hair and can see myself making one of these to use when doing chores, such as cleaning the toilet or scrubbing the floor, where I don’t want my hair falling forward into my work.

Erika needs this to go with her robe and bunny slippers!
