A vintage-style Colette Violet

Hey everyone,

Hope the mid January blues aren’t spoiling your sewing mo-jos!

I decided to tackle the Colette Violet after seeing some great vintage-style versions around the blogosphere. The original fit was too loose for me so I took the side seams in and reduced the width across the shoulders for my version.

I used a vintage-style fabric from Walthamstow Market and vintage buttons. It’s some kind of weird 60s/70s mash up now but it works for me! For more pics and deets on how I adapted the pattern please just head on over to my blog.

first version of the violet i’ve seen that really looks like it fits, not too boxy…what a great execution of the pattern!
