Alright, ok, you got me, it’s not retro…but I’m making it retro!
I have a little problem with sailor addiction everyone, yes, its true, I’m a nautical freak! I love that 50′s pin up aesthetic, the red and blue, the hats! 
I mean, who doesn’t want to look like this. I totally do!
My attempt was with Colette’s Jasmin pattern, not strictly sailor until I got my hands on it.

Fine white wool with contrasting cuffs and collar in navy and white polka dot….hell yes!

Ooh, I love that! I’ve been admiring that pattern on others but decided against it for myself as I didn’t think it would be very me. But using a fine wool or a heavy cotton knit + contrast like this is a really great idea. I certainly love your white + polka dots combo. It looks fab and very retro!
