I m new to Sew Retro but I have to admit I m a massive fan and have been for many years. I ve decided to dust my sewing machine off for Christmas and make myself a dress. I m such a lazy sewer – I ve got cupboards full of half finished projects! but I really wanted a lace dress and I haven’t seen quite the right one in the shops. This is made up from butterick 6582- I love this pattern, although I made it a size bigger than I normally wear and it fits perfectly. I m planning to make the full skirt version next summer too, maybe in a print cotton.
