morning of the skirts

hey there folks! i woke up this morning and decided with fall already here, it might be time to start whipping up some separates to layer once the cold weather arrives… so i pulled out this pattern that i got this weekend,

and made two skirts! the first is from some almost denim weight fabric i have had about a year. it’s horses, what girl doesn’t like horses? amiright?!

the second skirt (my favorite of the two) is from some fabric a friend of mine gave me earlier this year.

i didn’t really do anything fancy with the second skirt. just a side zip… but the first skirt has some nice top stitching and i added in a center back zipper instead of the side. they both came out great!
i got a lot of new patterns this weekend from my momma…. so expect a few more posts (hopefully) this week!
more on my blog as usual!

It is so nice to see your update here! I am a vintage fan as well. All the vintage stuff can keep me so spellbound! You have your article written in a neat and light way which makes it accessible and enjoyable! I should say, the second skirt is pretty good, but I like the first skirt more!
