Admin nonsense and pattern geekery

Couple of quick things. I’ll keep it brief!

Sharing widgets

If you tend to scroll down the main page rather than clicking on individual posts, you won’t have seen the nifty sharing widgets each post now has somewhere over…

<—– there.

State of the Union

We now have 303 active members (cue whooping and hollering) so huge thanks to everyone who stuck with us through the transition to the new site.

Featured Members

If you’d like to nominate a buddy to be our next featured member, drop me a line via email or on facebook. We have members from all walks of life and all over the world, which makes it great fun to learn a little more about the person behind the sewing machine. If you missed our first feature on BoPeep, you should go check it out now - she’s a delight.

You have to be an actively posting member to be featured, so if you’re still procrastinating about sharing your work, come on! Get posting!

Buttons

The lovely Sarah from Pattern Vault emailed me earlier this week to say she’d made us a blog button. Thanks Sarah! Here are a few different sizes so you can nab whatever best meets your needs. If your blog still links to our old blogger site, please take a minute to change it to http://wesewretro.com

Craigslist for the win

And finally, here’s a poorly composed nighttime iPhone pic of my latest acquisition and the reason I’m about to consume enough vicodin to take down a rugby team.

I’m now the proud owner of a very awesome and very, very heavy pattern cabinet. You have to be an enormous pattern geek to appreciate how excited I am about this. ┬áHere it is waiting to be taken inside:

I may not be able to move my arms tomorrow, but at least my patterns are neatly filed.

I want a pattern cabinet! I’m very jealous. I just won a 40 pattern lot on ebay and I have no idea where I am planning to keep them.

Great info, thank you so much for rounding it up for us!

The pattern cabinet is wonderful! Isn’t it sometimes just as much fun to organize the sewing room as it is to actually sew? =)

Hurrah!! I recently found an old Simplicity one at an estate sale. Probably the BEST thing I ever found, and it makes me happy every time I see it :)

Oooh! *Covet, covet, covet* your pattern cabinet. And you live where….? And your daily routine has you away from the house when…?
