I finally finished my interpretation of a 1940s jumper from a pattern that was sadly missing the jumper pieces. I used a heavy pink linen with white slubs (thrifted) and the trim is a soft mystery type fabric (twill?) I scored from an estate sale. There may be pillows floating around somewhere made from this fabric but I still think it’s cute. I really wanted pockets but they just didn’t seem to work with this skirt. I made a tie belt with covered buttons (a first for me!). This outfit looks cute with a tank under it too for the summer time. More pictures and the different patterns used to create the jumper are found on my blog.

A) That is adorable!
B) I love seeing your process on your blog. I really need to make myself a dressform.
hahaha i made a dress form out of duct tape (i think i blogged about it) and it was awful! i need to do another one. this one is a size 0 (scavanged from victoria secret shhhhhh!) and its clearly too small. i have to pin the clothes to it but it does work for some stuff.
Lovely! nice color, AND I also want a dress form, I want to try to make it BUT I thing it's very difficult, better save to buy one, it has been in my wish list for 2 years…….
Really cute! I hadn't thought about using linen in a jumper before, but now maybe I will.
classically preppy
