Feeling so CapeAble

I’ve been itching to make a cape for the mild California fall weather and had seen some vintage designs that inspired me to check there first.  I went on the hunt for a cape pattern and stumbled upon Simplicity 5359.  The pattern includes two cape options (one with a collar, one without) and a wiggle dress.  I love the dress too, so I’ve put that aside for a future project. 

I made this out of a brown wool with a tan, satin interior lining.  The pattern was only a few pieces that were already cut out, so one tedious step omitted from the start!  More details and pictures are on my blog: What’s Up, Cupcake?
