A Vintage Treasure

I just had to share my incredible find at a local antique shop – I could not resist taking this amazing silk slip home with me.  It has a couple of holes and some staining, but the workmanship is unlike anything I have ever seen.  Hand embroidery, tiny French seams, luscious silk – everything about it is exquisite.

And I thought the readers of Sew Retro would be the perfect people to appreciate just how amazing the piece is.

There are more photos to enjoy over on my blog, Lilacs & Lace.

This is beautifully made. The inside view on your blog really shows the quality. What a find!
