Hello I am Sew Vala and here is my first retro inspired item.

I used McCalls 2149. This is the second shirt I have made using this pattern both have been made in view E. With the short sleeves and grandad colar, as thats what my man wanted, he says its very ‘punk’ style colar and as an old punk guess he should know.

Here he is ‘posing’ for the camera. This shirt was made for our vist to Twinwood Festival. (I know I am not up to the standard for pattern matching yet I am still a beginer in making clothing. He didn’t mind it not matching up. )

Again ‘what a poser’ The 50′s style pin up girls are smiling sweetly and rather ‘inocently’ I think.

I love this pattern and have previously made loud shirt no1 , this being loud shirt no2 and fabric is already purchased and waiting for another three loud shirts.

More details on this shirt and Twinwood can be found if you wish to vist my blog at valasews@bolgspot.com

I hope you like this shirt, He loved it and said he was proud to wear it. When asked where he bought it, he replied ‘ I had it especially made for me, by my girlfriend’ Aint he sweet.
