A 50s Swing Jacket in the Making…

I’m currently in the middle of a project that has been in the planning for years… Refashioning a dearly beloved but now quite decrepit wool cape, into a 1950s Swing Jacket.

It has been quite an adventure so far – from awkward cutting to missing pattern pieces, dead mice and badly cut fingers…

It still needs to be top-stitched, hemmed and lined (oh and sleeves might be nice!), but so far, I’m feeling quite proud of myself!

Stop by my blog for more images, details, and that mouse…x
