Vintage Sewing

I Spy Polka Dots!

August 17, 2011

I just wanted to share my most recent sewing project. I used Simplicity’s 6459 from 1966. I made the dress in vintage teal and black polka dotted linen that I got at an estate sale awhile back.
The dress only took me about 4 hours and I absolutely loved the outcome!

  1. I love the lines of this dress! And it looks great in that polka dot fabric. Good choice!

    (I, too, had planned on it being summer sewing extravaganza, but…)

  2. @Eva – Thanks! I really love teal and polka dots so I was really excited to work with it!

    @murielle87 – Thank you! (:

    @DrJulieAnn – Thank you soo much! Yes, I really wish I had actually gotten the chance to sew!!

  3. @Lizzy: Oh! Thank you!! I just recently started watching Mad Men and I'm obsessed with the clothing!! That's one of the reasons why I chose to make this pattern! (:
