1949 Lutterlohs "Golden Rule" Dress

June 15, 2011

Hello there, this is my first dress made of a pattern by Lutterloh “the golden rule”. It is from 1949 and was easy to sew and is fun to wear. Here in Berlin some of us german Sewingblog-Writers startet to experiment a bit with Lutterlohs old books, this is only the first and surely not the last dress I made from it!
More pictures and explanaitions on Cat-und-Kascha if you like.

  1. I love love love it! Lutterloh is so hard to come by here in NZ, but there are some great designs in their old books.

  2. I Really love that muted blue color. The shape of the neckline and those little buttons are wonderful. Your shoes are very cute too!

  3. LOVE the dress!! And I like it even more that you are from Germany, makes my Heimweh (I am from Bonn…;))go away a little bit.

  4. I love this! What a fantastic neckline and collar – very flattering. Pretty buttons and stripe detail. Wunderbah!

  5. I love your dress. So great to see vintage Lutterloh being made up. I have many years of vintage Lutterloh dating from the late 50s to mid 70s but have yet to make one. Too many to choose from!
