Vintage Simplicity Stripes

May 11, 2011
Here’s a stripy little number – Simplicity 4646 misses’ blouse – I’m not sure when it was issued.
The pattern is quite easy to put together, matching the stripes can be nightmarish depending on your level of perfectionism.
But it’s a lovely dramatic 50’s look – very Summer Holiday.

  1. Drop-dead gorgeous!

Yeah, I have stripe-matching issues. I am in total awe of your blouse. That collar was the perfect detail to really show off your fabric!

  2. Matching chevron stripes…this is where a can of KK2000, a temporary spray fabric adhesive, comes handy. Lightly spray on the wrong sides, make your fabric sandwich, adjust as necessary. Sew, no pins, Ma!
